About Ridgefolk
Our Story
I have been owned by Rhodesian Ridgebacks for 21 years and Norfolk Terriers for 16 years. We live on a side of the mountain in beautiful North Vancouver BC, Canada with endless trail systems starting right from my backyard. I breed for temperament, health, function and conformation. I am passionate about preserving these two breeds. I am a member of American and Canadian breed clubs of both breeds. I am a member in good standing with CKC and AKC. All my breeding females are health tested and have their OFA CHIC numbers and have sound temperaments and I only breed to males that are fully health tested and have correct and sound temperaments.
Our Breeding Process
We take great pride in our breeding process, which starts with carefully selecting our breeding pairs. We only breed Rhodesian Ridgebacks and Norfolk Terriers that meet our high standards for health, temperament, and conformation. Our dogs are raised in a loving and nurturing environment and they are all first and foremost our family pets.
Our Facilities
All our Norfolk terrier and Rhodesian Ridgeback puppies are raised in our home surrounded by people and our other dogs. We do not house our dogs in kennels and will not sell our puppies as kennel dogs! We Are lucky to live in a beautiful location with endless hiking trails right at our backyard and both our Norfolk terriers and Ridgebacks join us for long hikes as often as we can.

Showing my dogs is my hobby and integral part of measuring your breeding stock to its own breed standard. My girls have done very well and I will share here their best wins. All my girls are at least CanCh or CanGrCh, Odessa is CanGrChB and USCh. Watch our next generation of Ridgefolk babies in the shows in 2024!!
UPDATE: RIDGEFOLK IS THE HOME OF #1 CONFORMATION RHODESIAN RIDGEBACK, #2 Owner handled Hound and #8 hound IN CANADA 2024 AND BREEDER OF #1 RHODESIAN RIDGEBACK PUPPY IN CANADA!!!
Odessa won 1 RBIS, 2 BISs, 2 OHBISs, Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Canada National specialty BOS, 10 G-1 placements, 11 G-2 and 2 G-4 placements. She also finished her American GrCh title by winning all the needed points in 3 weekends.
CanGrCh Ridgefolk's Dark Side of the Moon NS, CLINT (Loscanna - Reed) became CanCh first of the litter and he gained his CanGrCh title the first weekend after turning 12 months old, as young as he could! CLINT IS #1 RHODESIAN RIDGEBACK PUPPY IN CANADA 2024!!
In July Odessa was selected second time as Best Opposite Sex (BOSS) in Canadian Ridgeback Club’s specialty show! She also went on to win her 2 All Breed BEST IN SHOW (BIS) as well as 1 Reserve BIS and 2 OHBISs!! This girl has my heart ❤️.
Loscanna‘s puppies are now 15 months old and Clint and Callie (CanCh Ridgefolk's Callisto of Aegis, NS) both who stayed with co-breeder Carol-Ann, were the first 2 CanCh in the litter !! Clint was also awarded AOM in Canadian National show. He then went on to win his first Best Puppy in Show in all breed Show!
My co-own girl Lara (CanCh Ridgefolk's Elara of Himalia) came to show for the second Weekend since turning 6 months old. She participated in shows during our National and Regional specialty shows and was awarded Best Puppy in Specialty Show in BOTH shows!! She was also awarded Winners Bitch and BEST of Winners!!
My co-owned boy Tito (CanCh Ridgefolk's Jericho Moon) was shown second time that same weekend as well and he was awarded Winner’s male in both shows AND AOM in Regional show as well!!! To say I am SUPER proud breeder of all these puppies is an understatement!!! Needless to say their dam (mom) Loscanna was awarded the Best Brood Bitch in both Specialties !!!
Both Tito and Lara finished their CanCh titles in that one weekend!!!
Tito joined us to Utah for RRCUS Nationals and he was awarded 1st in his class 12-15M males and same in Sweepstakes 1st in 12-15M and then BOS in junior Sweepstakes!!! Watch Tito in US shows year 2025!
Honeybee’s son Nigel started his show career at 8 months old by going BOB 2/3 shows in Calgary and once in US - he is half way to his Canadian Ch -title at only 9M old and in one weekend!! Nigel is owned by my good friend Teresa and myself. Watch this young boy in show rings in BC and WA State !
